French Style Butter Keeper
Imagine saying goodbye to a hard block of butter and hello to silky smooth, spreadable butter on toast every morning. A French-style butter keeper will become your best-friend by keeping your butter fresher for longer and spreadable without the need for refrigeration during most times of the year.
This two-part design & concept originated in France in the late 1800's - a base that holds water, and a cup to hold the packed butter which also serves as a lid.
Water in the base of the butter keeper creates an air-tight seal around the butter preventing the fats from oxidizing and creating off or rancid flavors whilst maintaining the temperature of the butter itself.
