French Style Butter Keeper
Hello, I'm a French-style butter keeper! I keep your butter soft, spreadable, and fresh stored out of the fridge using just water! Magic? Nope, this method of butter keeping has in fact been around since the late 1800's. Simply fill the hollow 'bell' with butter, making sure you pack it in tightly. Pour an inch or two of water into the base of the dish and submerge the bell into the base, creating an airtight seal. For most of the year, your butter keeper will be okay to store on your benchtop, but do keep an eye on it in the middle of our hot Australian summers.
