Shui Di - Chinese Water Dropper

The Chinese water dropper has two small holes, one to cover with a finger (creating a vacuum) and the other for the water to come out when your finger is released. Traditionally, water droppers are used so that only a few drops of water are added to the inkstone at a time whilst mixing with a solid ink stick. Today, this same tool can be applied in both calligraphy and painting as a tool that lets you finely control the thickness of your chosen medium.
