An exercise in composition and balance, our stacked vases are thrown individually, off the hump, as segments. Spheres and cones of all different proportions are thrown in generous numbers to create our base building blocks. These pieces are then left to dry until just under leather hard before being arranged and 'stacked' spontaneously, with each piece, manually joined using the score and slip method.
Making each vase feels like piecing together a song; will it be mellow, will it be pop. Each one unique and characterful in their own ways.
