Japanese Life - Wash Cloth set

A high quality wash cloth with a soft, supple texture. The fabric is perfect for daily use in the home as it has excellent water absorbency (1.3 times that of cotton), dries quickly, and is durable.

It can be used in a variety of ways, such as as a hand towel, dish towel, vegetable drainer and when they are worn out, they can be used as kitchen wipes or dust cloths. The quality of the material means they can be used for a long time.

The delicate one-point embroidery, reminiscent of mindful Japanese living, bringing a nostalgic character to each cloth. The set has an assortment of 5 designs and comes in a gift box.

At first, the fabric is stiff and taut because of the glue, but when the glue is removed with lukewarm water or hot water, the fabric shrinks and becomes very soft.

Kayagofukin is made of mosquito net cloth carefully woven in Nara Prefecture, the only remaining mosquito net production area in Japan, and embroidered and printed in Wakayama Prefecture.

It is said that the cloth was first made by female workers at a mosquito net factory, who sewed several pieces together and started making them for their own use, out of wasteful waste from defective fabrics and leftover fabrics from cutting.
