Wazakura - Radial-Shaped Kenzan
Kenzans are used in the Japanese art of ikebana. A great tool for florists, floral designers or beginner floral arrangers. A sustainable and lifelong replacement to green floral foam. The kenzan uses pins to stabilise your flowers upright and in position, while allowing water and nutrients to be absorbed at the end of the stem resulting in healthier flowers and water that remains clearer for longer. Place your kenzan in a vase and begin your arrangement, It is recommend to cut the stem at a very sharp angle or in a point for easier placement in the flower holder.
The Radial Kenzan is a unique design that allows you to arrange flowers in a radial manner, the outside pins are angled and allow for flowers to be fixed leaning outwards. This design can be fantastic for traditional western arrangements that call for an overall full and dome-like shape.
The kenzan comes with a removable rubber gasket which prevents scratches and damage to your vase and allows it to grip easier to the base. It is made from high grade brass, making it very solid, sturdy and long lasting, the flower needles are very sharp and fixed well to the base.
